Shortly after daughter, Jasmine, was born in 1997, Wendy realized they needed a back seat in husband James’ sports car for the infant seat. The Mitsubishi 3000GT had to go to make room for a Porsche that James dreamed about since he was little. She had to convince him that even after he achieved the dream, there was room for more dreams. They joined Maverick Region PCA that December and were quickly indoctrinated.
She has served regionally as Newsletter Editor, Secretary, Social Chair, Registrar for Autocross, HPDE, and Club Race (ongoing), as well as countless other events. She’s received the region’s enthusiast award several times. Maverick has since won the Region of the Year award, as well as multiple Membership and
Public Service awards at Parade.
Wendy was the National Newsletter Chair for four years. She and her family won the Family of the Year in 2000 and individually she won the Enthusiast of the Year in 2004.
She currently serves as the Parade Presentations chair, creating slideshows during banquet dinners along with James. They are avid Parade goers, having been to twenty-two.
Wendy is a driving enthusiast, participating in autocrosses, time trials, and HPDE events. She won the Top Ladies’ Time at Parade five times, three in her 1978 911 SC fully prepared race car and twice in her 2020 Taycan Turbo S.
Having been the Zone 5 Webmaster for several years, she is familiar with the local regions and their presidents. She looks forward to getting to know everyone even better and doing her best to serve their PCA needs.
